Part 1:Pre-shift inspection (pre-operation inspection)
1. Diesel Engine Inspection
Check the level of engine oil, coolant and diesel fuel, and make sure there is no oil or water leakage. Clean dust on the air filter to prevent insufficient power caused by blocked air intake. Tighten engine foundation bolts before startup.
2. Hydraulic System Inspection
Check the oil level of hydraulic tank, inspect pipe joints and cylinder seals for oil seepage. Fasten all pipe clamps to avoid loose high-pressure hoses. Ensure control valve handles move smoothly without jamming.
3. Drilling Tools & Chassis Check
For trailer rigs: check tire pressure and welding points of the drawbar. For crawler rigs: adjust track tension and inspect outrigger screws for bending. Check drill rod threads and drill bits, replace worn or damaged parts in advance.
4. Mud Pump & Circulation Pipeline
Check pump seals for water leakage, confirm all pipelines are intact to keep smooth mud circulation, so the impeller will not be damaged by dry friction.
Part 2: In class inspection (maintenance of homework process)
1. Monitor Gauge Readings Continuously Keep an eye on oil pressure and water temperature gauges. Stop the machine immediately if overheating or low oil pressure occurs. Never run the rig with existing faults. 2. Timely Lubrication Inject grease on mast chains, rotary spindle and bearing seats continuously to reduce metal friction. 3. Avoid Overload Operation Do not drill under heavy load for a long time. Long-time high pressure will shorten the service life of oil seals and hydraulic pumps. Part 3:Post shift maintenance (daily maintenance after work) 1. Full Machine Cleaning Wash away mud and sand on the whole machine, drilling mast and mud pump with high-pressure water. Pay special attention to the radiator to avoid overheating caused by dirt buildup. 2. Drain All Water from Pipes Empty all water inside the mud pump and pipelines, especially in cold weather, to prevent cracking caused by freezing. 3. Retighten All Fasteners Reinforce all loose bolts and pipe joints shaken by vibration, including outriggers, engine base and hydraulic flanges. 4. Proper Storage Park the rig in a dry sheltered area for long-term shutdown. Disconnect the battery negative terminal, and coat drill rod threads with anti-rust grease. For trailer rigs, lower outriggers to release tire pressure. For crawler rigs, prop up the frame to avoid track deformation. 5. Keep Operation Logs Record daily working hours, faults and oil replacement history for scheduled maintenance management. Part 4: Regular periodic maintenance (monthly and quarterly maintenance) 1. Replace diesel filter and oil filter every month, change engine oil every 200 working hours. 2. Replace hydraulic oil and filter every three months, clean sediment at the bottom of hydraulic oil tank. 3. Dismantle the mud pump to inspect impeller and seals, replace with original spare parts if severely worn. 4. Check aging hydraulic hoses regularly, replace cracked hoses in advance to avoid sudden pipe burst and work stoppage.
